What a great show and a great job done by Sangam!!
Your previous show with the local artistes was excellent and again you brought in artistes from Kolkatta and let us, the audience, experience an enchanting evening.
Nibedita Ganguly as the MC was perfect, Shreyashi Mitra, the singer , was so good that I too enjoyed all the Bengali songs!! And then the play - the actors were great and as Tappan Banerji mentioned they could compete with the best even in USA. True.
We would like to thank you for all your efforts to make this Midwest Bango Sammelon a success.

Hi Sangam,
All I want to say after watching "Kacher Manush" last night is that I haven't watched for years such a superb and poignant theatrical performance. Acting was so natural that it felt more like real-life events unfolding than some characters acting on stage. I like many others was deeply touched. I enjoyed Sreyashi's voice and style of singing as well. It was a nice and compact program.

Congratulations on a wonderful event. I love attending Sangam events because they are always good quality programs with great ambience at a reasonable price. I specially wanted to thank your team for organizing the play this time. Gandhar’s presentation brought back wonderful memories of the beauty of Bengali theatre. After the play I had an opportunity to visit with Shri. Deb Halder who carried the play all by himself ably supported by a wonderful crew.
Since moving to the U.S., we have seen plays in many languages and almost all of those have been based on the slap-stick or dialogue based comedies or emotional dramas which one quickly forgets as soon as one leaves the hall or one which the audience wants to forget as quickly as possible. However, the association with Mr. Purohit and Ms. Rupmati will stay etched in our hearts because they represent characters whose idiosyncrasies were so beautifully portrayed by Deb Halder amd Ms. Burman. After a long time, we got to see “acting” on stage and not just mere “dialogue delivery”.
With the string of great programs that your team perpetually organizes, you have added one more loyal family that likes to attend all your programs – among many other such individuals/families.
Best wishes and looking forward to more.

Gandhar's performance was superb! Me and my daughter, Asha enjoyed very much. She did not quite understand bangla, but she got the story right. I explained to her some parts of the story. I have seen some families and friends from Bangladesh community, which was good. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call or write to me.

Hello Everybody,
Eleventh Midwest Bango Sammelan is over but it has left some memorable moments to me. First of all, this was my maiden performance in Bango Sammelan. I enjoyed the whole program and it was an opportunity for me to accompany with Sreyashi who splendidly performed Rabindra Sangeet, Atulprasadi and other songs.
"Kacher Manush" play by Gandhar group was awesome. The subject was so small but it had been marvelously expanded. The dialogue and presentation of each team members was beautiful. Even my son who is just 9 years old, had also enjoyed the play. Now, we can understand why they got so much appreciation from around the world. It was their 92nd performance.
Last but not the least, I want to thank the Sangam organizers to organize the whole program in a smooth way. Their plan of action and implementation was nice and the whole program was possible due to their teamwork. The sound system and stage ambience had helped us to deliver our best. Food was delicious too....:)
I will be happy and honored to receive further opportunity to perform in Sangam's program, in future.
Thanks!

You did an excellent job selecting the singer and drama group both. It was riveting. Nobody moved during the show hours………
We are with you.

Art lies in concealing art. 'Kacher Manush' presents a pussiant rejection of long-drawn pre-suppositions in our socio-religious-cultural values which interrogate how an individual is located and formatted as part of a collective whole. It raises fundamentally and substantially questions about our identities and the ways in which we come to, albeit unconsciously, to construct our identities. And in the process, it shattered the conditioned cognizance of the central character with a renewed understanding to propose, rather shamelessly, 'Are E Ami Ki Patra Karap Naki'?
Needless to say that I have enjoyed the event. Thank you for everything.
Best,
Ranjan Barua.
